新年的自白 I Am the New Year

我是新年，是你時間冊子裡尚未被糟蹋掉的一頁。
我是你生活藝術中的下一個機會；
我是過去一年你在生命中學到的東西，付諸實行的時機。
你尋找卻尚未尋見的，都隱藏在我裡面，
等著你用更強大的決心，繼續搜尋。
你立志要活出，卻還未達成的美善，
是由我來成全的，只要你減少那些矛盾衝突的慾望。
你尚未有勇氣去追尋的夢想，你還沒定意去實現的希望，
你宣稱卻猶未擁有的信心，
這一切都還在打盹，等著被堅強的決心來喚醒。
我是你更新向著祂之忠貞的機會，就是說：
「看哪！我將一切都更新了」的那一位。

I am an unspoiled page in your book of time.
I am your next chance at the art of living.
I am your opportunity to practice
what you have learned about life during the last twelve months.
All that you sought and didn't find is hidden in me,
waiting for you to search it but with more determination.
All the good that you tried for and didn't achieve
is mine to grant when you have fewer conflicting desires.
All that you dreamed but didn't dare to do,
all that you hoped but did not will,
all the faith that you claimed but did not have—
these slumber lightly, waiting to be awakened
by the touch of a strong purpose.
I am your opportunity to renew your allegiance to Him
who said, "Behold, I make all things new."
