如果在神以溫柔伸出拯救的手時，我們不謙卑領受，有一天神顯出祂的榮耀威嚴而來時，我們當如何行呢？今天主以溫柔對待我們，父母對兒女、上司對下屬也該如此；以溫柔和恩慈待人，不要常藉著疾言厲色來使人懾服，而是以溫柔與恩慈來使人折服。

聖經裡所羅門王說：柔和的舌頭能折斷骨頭。大衛對神說：你的溫和使我為大。
